Thermal insulation for facades

Thermal insulation for facades: the isolation of the outer walls can be executed on the outside of the wall. to be placed between two layers of bricks /sandwich/ or at least inside of the wall.

The insulation can be stone wool or EPS /expanded polystyrene/. It is not recommended insulation with XPS /extruded polystyrene/ because the material is not vapor permeable and worsens the microclimate in the building, leading to the occurrence of condensation and mold. According to the recent amendments to the ordinance N7 energy efficiency (since 2009), the minimum insulation thickness going from 5 cm to 8 cm (EPS-density 16-18 kg/m3, and λ = 0.032 calculated for the outer wall bordering the outside air and the heat transfer coefficient u = 0.35 W/m2K). For stone wool, depending on the density, the thickness of the insulating layer increases from 6 cm to 9 cm.

Insulation with EPS: it is used several types of facade EPS which are different in their density and thermal conductivity λ. 
The sequence of layers is :

1. Adhesive for thermal insulation

2.EPS-F Termoren 12-14 kg/m3

EPS-F Termoren 14-16 kg/m3

EPS-F Termoren 16-18 kg/m3

EPS-F Termoren 18-20 kg/m3

3. PVC anchor/dowel nail

4. Reinforcing Mesh 145g/m2

5. Plaster for thermal insulation

6. Primer: contact primer

7. Сoat

Insulation with rocкwool, used wool high density of 130 to 150 kg/m3, which have sufficient mechanical strength to withstand the relevant loads:

1. Adhesive for thermal insulation

2. Rockwool - Izocam facade wool 140 kg/m3

3. PVC anchor/dowel nail

4. Reinforcing Mesh 145g/m2

5. Plaster for thermal insulation

6. Primer: contact primer

7. Сoat
